Lady Gaga - Mayhem

Sleeping on it, I suppose I'm just shocked she actually did it. Like @mindtrappa said, even when she said she was doing the old Gaga, it was watered down or not fully committed in a way that made it something different to me. Obviously, this is harder hitting than most of what she's put out in the last decade but when confronted with "this could have been the follow up single to Judas," part of me is like, wait do I want this? I'm not who I was in 2011 and why do I want her to be? Even Disease felt like something different.

It slaps, I'll run it into the ground, but I also really hope that the album has more to offer.
I think this is where I’m at too. I adore the whole package and the 2011Ga bombast of it all, and the almost saccharine tone of the production of the first verse hit me like a sledgehammer after the intro, but I do hope there’s chances in the album where she’s treading new ground even if she’s going back to her roots pretty flawlessly here.

Abracadabra is incredible, I've had it on repeat for hours already. Haven't been this obsessed with a Gaga song in over a decade. This just feels right in every way.
