No it would play in my store lobby until I hijacked that USB drive and replaced it with my own. Fucking hell what an affront to my ears. The first time I actually heard it was Alize’s cover on some tv show and it was even worse there bless her heart!

I feel so silly asking for this because it's a song that already runs for 3:43 in the year 2025, but I wish there was just one repeat of the chorus at the end. The strings that are brought forward in the mix sound glorious and I wish we could stay in it just a bit longer. I'm actually fine with there being no hook at the end, I just needed the chorus one more time just for those strings.

Yeah I wish she repeated the spell one last time either before or after the final chorus. Easily a 12 if so.
Same. I also really want one final chorus but the song is so rich, I think they didn't want to overdo it and make you listen again and again. And it's working.
Stores have their own ecosystem though, I’ve heard hits from various UK girlies that weren’t even releasing in the US (back even before streaming stopped being regional for the most part too).

Yeah when I realized the intro is the post-chorus/second chorus (whatever it is) and the song ends with the Chorus so it basically seamlessly loop… mind blown!
But a full extended mix with extra chorus and bringing some elements from the video sfx would be a full slay.

It’ll be interesting to know what the pre sales are already estimated at - they seem pretty confident so far. Her biggest opening week since Born this Way could absolutely be up for grabs if they play it right.
Traditionally it would I feel. I would've liked this even if just for the video version where the cut definitely feels premature, but I also agree with the above that it does make you want to hit replay... so I'm not mad at it.

I believe they are saving those for when the song is fighting for #1 or a new peak. Right now, it will comfortably jump to the Top 10 (unless Kendrick's boost is huge) next week.
