I still vividly remember absolutely hammering Born This Way when it first came out and listening to Bloody Mary, envisioning what the video and tour performance would look like. I was about 14. It’s wild to me to see this song, of all songs, be getting the tiktok treatment after over a decade. I’m all for it but they weren’t there when people thought you worshipped the devil because you listened to Gaga, nor were they choreographing the video that she probably swore we’d get at some point in their bedrooms. 2011 was a time. I kid, of course. I’m not a ‘get off my lawn’ fan, at the end of the day. I’ll welcome accolades and success for her, no matter what form or what timeline it comes in. And for a song on her best album? Absolutely! It seems that this has made her really happy too, which makes me happy.
And maybe this will reignite her interest in being a Pop Star again.
