I think most of the songs she did with RedOne for The Fame (outtakes included) were written/recorded in 2007, but “Just Dance”, “LoveGame”, “Paper Gangsta”, and “Poker Face” were written in early 2008.

On another note, I've always had such a soft spot for the first leg of the Monster Ball. So simple but sleek.

Lolla was in August of 2007, so I assume she probably just got started with RedOne? Hence her ending with Boys Boys Boys and that being the first song they recorded together.

She knew they were onto something.

Also, watching through her set and interview, it's crazy seeing her so sporadic. Her stage presence was always there but she was so full-throttle trying to carve her seat at the table and it shows through every early moment. The Monster Ball is one of my favorite tours, and even then there were elements that were so unpolished and theatrical.

And of course that's part of the appeal, but wow. She grew leaps and bounds after those first few years, even if becoming a cultural force so quickly.

I don't know if this is unpopular or not but honestly the two standout tracks for me on The Fame have always been Money Honey and Starstruck. Both fantastic and capture the essence of early Gaga so well.
