Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

Million Dollar Man and Lolita are my least favourite from Born To Die, Diet Mountain Dew is fairly middlish. I actively hate Lolita though, it grates on me so much.

I adore Lolita. It's my favourite song on the album along with the title track and National Anthem.

My least favourite is probably Lucky Ones. It's... nice and that's about it.

US PJers: The Paradise deluxe (CD) is missing the 3 original bonus tracks on disc 1 (on all pressings in the US). Interscope is recalling all of them . Sorry if this has already been posted.

I'm very disappointed in the box set.

1) No "Ride" video (ok, we knew that before buying the box).
2) Nice box on the outside, cheap in the inside : the sleeves for the remixes and the videos, grey and white, are ugly and don't fit with the Born To Die sleeve.
3) The mix of Blue Velvet by Penguin Prison, that was advertised like totally exclusive on the b-side of the 7", has been released on Itunes in the Ride remixes bundle. Talk about exclusive.
4) And the worst : the remixes CD has 39 minutes of music ! And the Fred Falke EDIT of National Anthem ! 40 minutes more of remixes (the Blue Jeans Kris Menace mix for example) and full versions would have been too difficult to find, apparently.

Grey and white? Mine are like a deep turquoise and a murky cream colour...

My main issue with the box is the awkward packaging for the main double album. It's all very delicate and fragile so I can't exactly bring the CD on a road trip... The inner CD packets are basically paper. Is the regular version being sold in a jewel case?

I'm dissapointed with the EP, theres no stand out tracks for me, the only tracks I like are 'Ride' and 'Yayo'. I love BTD though, the only track I didn't like on the album was 'Blue Jeans' I never got into it!

It hasn't hit me yet, but neither did Born To Die on first listen. So far loving Ride and Bel Air, not liking Blue Velvet, and preparing for the others to grow on me.

The Paradise Edition of BTD is in a hinged jewel case, yes. I was tempted by the pretty pictures of the boxset on Universal's site, but I'm glad I didn't bother. My OCD is now troubled by the gatefold digipak deluxe of the original BTD not matching the Paradise Edition, and that iTunes exclusive track still bugs me haha.
