  1. The Lucky Ones has always been my favourite from Born To Die.
    Wonderful piece of pop.

  2. I love both precisely because they’re so different. The demo sounds so warm, summery and inviting, while the album version gives me end credits scene. It still fascinates me how they have such entirely different tones using the exact same vocal take.

If you listen closely, the same sample also plays almost non-stop in the background of Without You

  4. I never understood the dislike/indifference towards 'Lucky Ones'. Yeah it's cheesy but the strings are beautiful and she sounds good, she's gotten tears out of me with it and I won't be shamed!

I had forgotten how much I stanned Gods & Monsters back in the day

Me and God, we don't get along so now I sing
No one's gonna take my soul away, I'm living like Jim Morrison
Headed towards a fucked up holiday
Motel, sprees, spress, and I'm singing
Fuck yeah, give it to me, this is heaven
What I truly want... is innocence lost
    Innocence lost
