Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

Her voice is amazing, but I don't like "Video Games" enough to download it on it's own.
I just wanted to say that it's crazy that her upper lip is so big it casts a shadow!

She's been working with Liam Howe, Chris Braide, Emile Hayney and Justin Parker on her new album according to this interview http://www.flushthefashion.com/music/lana-del-rey-hollywood-sadcore/

I can't wait to hear more from her, I can't get enough of her music. I've been listening to her old demos and stuff and watching her old videos obsessively. They're all amazing.

Diet Mtn. Dew is particularly charming:

(It's been deleted from YouTube)

This is a good "Introducing" Interview.

I am officially borderline obsesses! She mentions Chris Braide on her twitter and Crispin Hunt.

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

This song is so addictive. Her songs remind me of Nancy Sinatra, but unlike the latter, they are really good.

I actually like her lips, I think it gives her a fun 'tragic, medicine-addicted, decayed Hollywood star'-look for some reason.

The Best Of Lana Del Rey i such a genius album title.

Is that official? I think it would be a great title as well.

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

God, I wish they'd hurry up and release some new stuff, October seems a lifetime away. Back in the April Guardian article, they mentioned that 19-track promos had been sent out to journalists, I can't believe these have never turned up anywhere else.

This is the conclusion I have reached over much consternation over them. Anyway, it doesn't really matter. If she keeps releasing material as brilliant as Video Games and Diet Mnt. Dew she'll be set.

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

At the moment I have a 5 track EP consisting of Video Games, Yayo, Kill Kill, Gramma & Diet Mtn. Dew. Any other recommendations?

Well, at least we're getting Blue Jeans song + video this week.

I love Raise Me Up (Mississippi South)

And Smarty (it's very Shangri-La's)

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

This has become one of my most anticipated albums of the year. All of her material is stellar.

Video Games is my obvious favorite, but Yayo is catching up...

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

It was only a matter of time before a copyright infringement claim occurred. I can't imagine she acquired rights to use all that movie and game footage in her video. Of course, I could be wrong but doubt it haha.

It was a lovely video though.

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

She could record a video of her putting out the washing and it would still be compelling. I suppose Video Games needs video games in it to work.

Re: Lana Del Rey - Video Games

I love the Nevada album. It's not terribly original, of course, but the songs are all very enjoyable. Smarty, Kill Kill and Gramma are particularly amazing.
