Lana Del Rey - Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd (Mar 24)

I still haven't listened to most of Violet ddd. Her speaking voice is soothing and kinda perfect for it, and I like the idea of her being in her Ken Nordine/Sylvia Plath bag, but I'm almost afraid to press play for some reason

I’m higly perched for the SYML collab. Sad Gay Spring!

It feels good to have a streamlined Lana release that's not plagued by PicsArt, multiple singles before the confirmed release date, and prematurely announced albums. It looks like signing off from her official Instagram did her wonders in the long run (even though honeymoon is pretty much her new official account now nn).

Probably her most straightforward album announcement since Honeymoon?

The new song sounds like the love child of Thunder and If You Lie Down With Me, my two favourites on Blue Banisters - so I’m not complaining! The last minute or so in particular is especially gorgeous, wow. (And yes, I know the « fuck me to death / love me until I love myself » line is Sad Gay Catnip but I’m absolutely living and gagging for it, sorry not sorry.)

"American Whore" is the same track as "A&W" according to the insider. Wish she kept that title.

Confirmed track titles so far:
1. The Grants
2. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
3. Sweet
4. A&W

The song is beautiful. I will say it’s one of her more “playing it safe” leads, like ‘Mariners…’ and ‘Let Me Love You…’. But beautiful nonetheless. Excited for the twists and turns and continued beautiful melodies of the rest of the album.

Aesthetically, this could be my favourite Lana album cover.

Some stuff from ~the insider~:

"This will be her most confessional album. Record about memories, stories from the past as well as hopes for the future and uncertainty surrounding it. Heavily narrative driven, wordy, chaotic and very vulnerable. A diary of a girl who searches for guidance."

Re: A&W (American Whore):

"This song... just wild, fucking wild. It's definitely their most sonically interesting and unprecedented work to date. Probably my favorite song on the record as well."

Bleachers and FJM are on tracks, but can't figure out which track number.

Just thought it would be interesting to do some digging into the Apple Music credits since it seems we'll have to wait on the full tracklist.
