Last.fm Accounts

Scrobbling Asian artists whose official names are written in different systems is a damn mess. How hard can it be to merge? Some of them have been waiting for years.

I noticed yesterday that my Last.fm hasn't scrobbled anything from Spotify since the 14th, even if it's scrobbled stuff from Youtube just fine. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Last.fm and Spotify accounts multiple times but it's still not working... so frustrating.

Just noticed it didn't scrobble anything from the last 6 hours. When I disconnected and reconnected it started scrobbling again but the missing scrobbles still didn't appear.

Mine started working fine after I played something on the web player, oddly enough, and while a few days of scrobbles were lost, at the last 50 showed up. It has since stopped working again though ff, apparently six hours ago as well. But it seems to be just the Spotify app that doesn't scrobble, because if I play something on the web player it scrobbles just fine. What a mess.

I think the PC app is what's busted, because both the web player and the mobile app work perfectly, but the PC app just won't scrobble no matter what I do. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didn't make any difference. Don't think I'd ever had that happen before, annoying.

Looks like it's an ongoing issue with the current version of the Spotify app and it's not just Last.fm, it's not working with Discord either. They're working on fixing it, hopefully it won't take too long. The web player is always a replacement but it's definitely less convenient than the app.

Does anyone else ever check their profile and notice only one song from an album doesn't have the "play" symbol next to it, only to realize it's because you have had a typo in the name of a song for the 10+ years its been in your library? It happens every once in a while and today I learned that for over a decade I have had the Holly Valance song "Cooktails and Parties" in my library, instead of COCK*tails.

Yeah - I've had something similar happen a few times!

I hate that i have to reconnect my spotify account to my last every week when i see the interface won't show up my scrobbles regularly. Please, it is almost 2023.

It's actually so annoying.. And sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 tries before it registers.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is a me problem or if everyone is experiencing it, but last.fm is currently refusing to count any of my scrobbles for a specific artist—piri & tommy. last.fm is registering every other scrobble, but once a piri & tommy song plays, it completely ignores it. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

Also, stream froge.mp3, y'all!

Thanks for the heads up. Seems like the issue is last.fm doesn't accept album names with .mp3 at the end for some reason. Until it's sorted out you can scrobble manually without the album name using openscrobbler and then edit the track info in last.fm to add the album name back in.
