Leona Lewis

I don't care how she made this album. I care about how good the songs are, and nothing here is as good as anything from her previous 3 albums.

And you can't say 'she made this album from scratch all on her own so let it be shite!!!!' when Miley's just released the album of the year recorded in her literal garage.

I never said that at all. The album is amazing, lots of people actually love it that are non Leona fans. There are tons of fans that don't love Echo, it's just a matter of opinion.

Miley's album is absolute trash, she knows it, her teams knows it and that's why it's free lol

The album is hugely underwhelming so far. It's also looking to be a colossal flop. The album is doing very little in pre-orders (it'll probably peak top 10 and then vanish pretty quickly) and the single, despite having its impact week as this Friday is like #550 on iTunes.

It's a great shame because Leona is an immense talent and deserves to be huge. I guess I just have to wait and hope One More Sleep re-enters the top 40 this year.

Fucking nail meet fucking head.

The main problem with Leona is that she doesn't seem to want to be the artist that we want her to be. It's frustrating but it's the way it is. Her voice is still good enough that the songs are enjoyable for me.

Aren't chart positions (whether it's 1 week or 14 weeks) created by sales, or am I totally off track?

Either way, she's looking at 1 week in the chart and falling away unless she musters up some buzz from somewhere.

I Got You is addictive. Should have been the lead single. It's got the emotional lyrical content, the big vocals but also sounds fresh and radio-friendly. This is what she needed to come back with a bang! I just hope it's not too late to get radio on board and make this a single.

Out of all the songs I've heard, this is the one I think genuinely deserves to be a hit and not because I'm a leona fan, but because it's a killer song.

Didn't I say 'I know she has to chart to get sales' ? But it's better to sell 4k each week 14 weeks long than 10k one week and stop charting. When Leona says "I don't care about chart positions", she obviously doesn't care about being #1. She clearly does care her album sells

We'll see when promo kicks in what effect it has on the album, one thing is sure and that her label is far from giving up this early. If it's not a success, well that's life.

Getting a respectable chart entry position for the album is going to be easy though. It's the longevity the album is going to struggle with.

they mentioned her on X Factor at the weekend, and Simon tweeted about her the other day. I still hope for an X Factor promo slot

I really like the album from what I've heard and think it'll do ok. There seems to be quite a bit of promotion lined up and they'll keep releasing singles it seems. I mean Jessie Ware doesn't really do that well and they keep promoting her/let her continue to make music. I mean didn't Devotion have around 5+ singles, and none of them went top 40 or did particularly well. But they helped to keep the album selling and it went gold.

I'm somewhat hopeful for an X-factor performance, but I think as long as she gets strong support from BBC Radio 2/Magic FM for future singles then the album should do fine.

I like two singles especially Thunder, so yes i am excited about this.

She'll never top Echo. It's a masterpiece. I like Spirit and Glassheart too but they can't compete. Christmas With Love was simply fan. She's had some amazing albums in her career. I'm sure this will be good.

Leona isn't selling though...she's just in a line of many many artists the UK just sadly lose interest in after one or two hit albums without much reason...Duffy, Natasha Bedingfield, Joss Stone, Corinne Bayley Rae, Natalie Imbruglia, Daniel Bedingfield etc

Is that what she called her Christmas album? Scream.
