I finally had the chance to sit down and listen to this and it really is a stellar debut. There's not a single dud on the whole album and That's What I Want deserves to be #1 until the end of time. Around the time of Holiday I mistakenly thought he was flirting with one-trick-pony territory and was ready to write him off, but he couldn't have proven me more wrong since that point. Above all else, it really is special to see him be so unapologetically himself in everything that he does and make an album that reflects that when it would have probably been a lot easier for him to take the path of least resistance. The big pop boy we needed in 2021 - and I'm excited to spend more time with this record, particularly the more vulnerable and unexpected moments like Lost In the Citadel, Void, Tales Of Dominica, etc. He did that!
