Every time I hear this I have mixed emotions. On one hand, It literally serves me chills over how amazing a song this is and what a brilliant comeback this could have been. On the other hand, I’m gutted that with two brilliant songs we are nowhere closer to an album.

One of my favorite stories that Lindsay gladly told a reporter is that the one where she had started working on an album for Motown (the Bossy sessions, if you will) but had abruptly stopped recording and then started ignoring calls from her A&R. Then had ignored her calls so long that she got scared to answer her, and when she finally did her A&R lady was just relieved. It's just such a Lindsay circa 2008 story. Telling it like it was fun anecdote about her music career but she was instead just helping paint the ongoing portrait of herself as someone wildly irresponsible.

This whole story is legendary. This part is also super relateable for me, I've done similar things myself in so many situations. I wander if Lindsay is a fellow ADHD queen? Either way I love her and I seriously hope that one day she writes the autobiography to end all autobiographies.

Aliana has a new song out. I'm sure Lindsay is very excited. Also choosing to believe this is the sequel to "All the Way Around" solely because their titles share two words.

I've been listening to the scrapped 2008 album tracks as of late. Some really great stuff there like Stuck, Can't Stop Won't Stop & I Wanna Be Bad in all its deliciously tacky glory.

I wish she'd recorded just a few more songs before she stopped returning thier calls. I'm not sure how well it would've done but I'm under the impression she always kind saw music as a side gig and a creative outlet away from her work, so I understand why she would've walked away from it. Still, I really do geiunaly love her voice and it stings we don't have a few more albums. I mantian she has a Night Time, My Time style indie rock masterpiece in her.
