Really surprised about the album news. I was convinced that she wouldn't do another album for some reason. I think that Working Girl is the best thing she's done so I'm very much here for this.
She's yet to come up with her true magnum opus. All of her albums are great, but none of them are The One.
I really want a new album by her. I have so many good memories of when this album came out and when she toured. Hands is still my fave, though.
Another update on her LOOP city travel guide - interview "I’m working a new EP that’s all female, so female producers, mixers and mastering engineers and hopefully for the artwork and videos. Everything! We want it to be a completely female produced project from start to finish. I’m working on tracks for that, songwriting, expanding Loop, DJing a lot and building a new live show!"
I love the way she sings January. It's just so damn charming. How it was left off her debut I will never know. Catch 22 is also a spectacular track that ended up as a Japan bonus track I believe. Not Now and Catch 22 are two of the best tracks to come out of the Hands era in my opinion.
Back in the day we suspected that Not Now was held back by 679 to launch the "inevitable" reissue with extra tracks that would follow once Hands smashed. Sadly, 'twas not to be (if it's even true).
