It's crazy. BBC is really rushing through this just to get money out of Orbits. I can only assume that concerts are going to be announced soon as well. Their engagement on Twitter is down, but Instagram being more catered to the general public so to say is not helping with showing strong signs of boycotting.

I might be projecting what I feel, and look, I know the concepts for this album are clearly "chic" and "mature", but to me the girls look like they're depleted and miserable ddd

I'm so confused by the whole situation so apologies if it's already been discussed but are the girls gonna promote the comeback, what with them filing an injunction and all that?

I just feel bad for them possibly being forced to do something they most certainly don't wanna do.
Unfortunately I think they're still required to promote and hold up their end of the contract since they only applied for the injunction, it hasn't been approved yet. For example Chuu applied in December 2021 and it was only partially granted in March 2022, so BBC aren't new to this and know to milk every second they have with the girls.

^ This.

Also, technically, Chuu did continue to work with BBC even *after* her injunction request was ruled in her favor in March 2022, but I think that's because she really wanted to remain in the group, and at no point wanted out of it. She just wanted to take control of her solo schedules and earnings. However, realistically speaking, I think this time if the court rules in favor of the 9 girls, it's fair to say said members won't work with BBC anymore, especially since that's the whole basis of their petition against BBC : that they can't work with the company anymore as there has been a breach of trust between the two parties to the extent where sustaining entertainment activities with them wouldn't be viable in the long-run.

From what I understand, the girls could choose not to show up to schedules, but it would have severe repercussions and basically give BBC ammunition to sue the girls back saying they're the ones who breached their contract that they must upheld to. So I doubt they will do that...

My guess is BBC is rushing through this comeback so they can use it against the girls to contest what they're saying at the moment. "Breach of trust? Can't pursue activities with us anymore? Why were you there at 4am at Inkigayo, then?!" But if the members wouldn't show up, and BBC suffered losses, then that could be used against them as well. The girls are definitely in a tough spot. Quite literally caught between a rock and a hard place.

I'm also worried about how long this will be dragged out. Seems like the court commonly takes ~3 months in average to grant their injunctions, however from what I understand, BBC *could* still file a countersuit against the girls that realistically would prolong this mess even further. (That being said, from what I understand, if/once the girls get their partial injunction, let's say in March 2023, they would be able to pursue solo gigs and not participate in group activities even if BBC files a countersuit, but basically I don't think they would be able to pursue anything as a group until the countersuit was also settled)

I also wonder what's the deal with Hyunjin and Vivi and how things are going to evolve on that side. Orbits are speculating that Vivi is not filing anything at the moment because BBC is the sponsor to her working visa, and that Hyunjin is staying behind as to not leave Vivi alone... Which is great and all, but surely they see they have no future under BBC? Are they waiting to see if the 9 members will get their injunction to file theirs? I feel like that's just dragging things out even further...

This comeback is giving summer concerts misery 2.0. It looks as cheap as well. I feel sorry for the girls.

BlockBerry Creative really ruined them...

Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Gowon, and Hye have appealed the initial ruling on their requests for injunction (provisional disposition), so that appeal is the proceeding that's underway right now. That's also where this petition is headed.

Not exactly sure of the usefulness of it, but since the fandom is afterall in touch with the members' legal representatives and they're the ones suggesting 'petitions', I suppose it cannot hurt.

I don't see why she would try to get out of her contract now, after her colleagues' requests have been denied, sadly.
Is she part of the ones that had renegotiated certain terms? Like the ones that were denied.

There’s no way the group can continue in any capacity. None of the girls want to do.

I love me some delusion, so you know damn well I'm holding on to the scenario where the 12 members continue in some capacity outside of BlockBerry Creative because they're so talented and they deserve this, but the issue is... Even if the 5 members (who have appealed the court's decision) do manage to change the recent outcome and terminate their exclusive contracts like the rest, there is still the issue of Hyunjin and Vivi who, as far as we can tell, show no signs in following in the other members' footsteps. Now, I'm sure they have their reasons for this, and we can only speculate to some degree what those may be, but ultimately the point still stands: it doesn't look like they have any plans to get out of there themselves anytime soon.

So, yeah, realistically speaking, it's better to just expect... nothing, especially in the immediate future.

I suppose some members could pull a VIVIZ. But the members do seem to have a bit of a "12 or nothing" type of mentality, so it could very much be the end of it, really.
