Louise - "Love Me More" + Confessions (May 23)

As someone who is going through the most horrendous divorce I wouldn’t wish on anyone, listening to this album the last few days has been comforting. The lyrics mean so much more after every listen. So many things that distort your confidence going through it all and her lyrics are resonating with me SO MUCH.
So sorry to hear that. I hope you will be alright. I can empathise here as i’ve been through a similar situation in the past and it was fucking grim.

Without meaning to sound corny, i do love that with pop music when it strikes a chord with you throughout treacherous times, it hits you really hard, music truly is a healer.

Thank you - it’s extremely hard and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

It’s the lyrics like walking into a restaurant by yourself and things. Lou being raw and honest about her feelings and how her divorce affected her.

I do not mean to sound corny either but pop music that connects with you is such a wonderful thing and Confessions is doing that for me.

Hang in there, things will get better with time / plenty of distractions. Music is a great healer and Confessions sounds like it's a great way of dusting off a few cobwebs and forgetting life's troubles.

Remember what Louise said - the album needs to do well to tour so if you’re wavering on preordering remember that!
Why does the album have to do well so she can go on tour? When Heavy Love was released, a tour was also planned. Only because of COVID she has to cancel the tour after 3 concerts. Of course she has some catching up to do. Or does it not work that way?

Promoters are less likely to help put a tour on if your album doesn’t do that well. It’s basically every little helps.

Album sales show demand for an artist which in turn gives confidence to her team and the tour industry that a tour will sell. If preorders for example are dismal it’ll put off everyone involved arranging and investing in a tour.
But why was a tour planned in advance for Heavy Love while the sales of the album were not yet known?

Coming off the back of the successful sell out comeback gigs and it was a very different climate pre Covid. The heavy love tour wasn’t a sell out so the risk of touring now is higher so the album doing well will definitely help. Plus Louise even said the album has to do well to tour.

I understand. Thanks for the explanation!

You can swap and change bundles and formats as many times as more become available. As long as your "interest" is seen that what matters right now.
Louise has self funded this album, thanks to her deals with the likes of Nivea & Peacocks which have bankrolled the making in "confessions"

In terms of touring, there really financial complications to it and an artist is lucky break even from a tour. It's what Kate Nash has been banging on about it and why she does foot photos on Onlyfans to pay for her tours.

Having said that, I do wonder when if the likes of Chesney Hawkes and Coleen Nolan are getting tours booked and to go ahead, then I'm sure as hell Louise can get one booked too.

There could be a chance she does some album showcase gigs leading up to and after release day where people pay their ticket which includes a unit sale of "confessions"

It really does fall down to the business end of showbusiness.
