Finally saw this on Saturday night, and it lives up to the buzz its received. My cinema was literally only a few seats away from capacity, and like I've seen MCU movies there and they couldn't compete nn. The whole cinema ctfu at her wig after the dog attack.. she really is the new film icon I fear.

I've said it before, but it bares repeating... M3GAN is equal parts Chucky, Esther and Catherine Tramell. She is iconic on arrival and I'm not taking any questions.
Lush - sad and perplexed that you didn't feel much camp. Like did they screen a different edit for press? imo M3GAN is littered with camp starting from the first scene...
the ott parody furby ad is a complete scream and set the tone brilliantly I thought
That first scene is the sort of over the top absurdity I needed from this film. But sadly, beyond that and the singing, that fantastic tone never reappears for me. The rest of the film is just sort of… dull.
I just saw this and it was pretty good. M3GAN herself is everything of course. I was ready for each unlikeable character to bite the dust as soon as they appeared. Especially that boss. I just wish it was rated R.
It’s finally on iTunes, but when are we getting the unrated, uncut A24 super deluxe collector’s edition limited run of 250 with a lock of her wig?

Watched this last night at home via alternative means because of reasons. The whole film was nuts from the jump but in the best way possible. Really happy it’s been a massive box office smash. Women’s stories matter!
Her whole look after being chomped on by the dog is hilarious, but then the face she gives the neighbour killed me.
Also I couldn't help but be on the doll's side, she was learning and evolving by what she was witnessing around her and the shitty actions of the humans.

Yes, for sure. I kind of felt like it wasn't so much the new Chucky as an updated version of Serial Mom.

You know what M3GAN was missing? A moment where her messy hair was styled to the usual LEWK as she combs it after killing the neighbour + the dog, while seated at the vanity table. That would’ve been CAMP!

I saw this last Friday and it was cute. Malignant was gorgeous and cute next to gorgeous...
The first half was a bit tew slow. The worldbuilding was nice but i felt like nothing kinda happened. And while the second half was campy and fun in the end, i wanted more action and gore and suspense. M3gan turned evil and sassed Gemma and got killed immediately. It was very.. alright.
It's obvious the next one will follow up on that intern/assistant leaking the details to a rival toy company. I imagine a Megan army, likely one of them will turn out to be good and go against the rest at the end of it.
