I have heard test screenings were dire. It’s basically sci fi comedy, horror element removed and most kills off screen.

Kills being off screen & tame was one of my complaints about the first film. Seems they’re doubling down.

I don't think the second MEGAN will be a good horror movie - just like the first one. They will stay in their PG-13 lane - it worked the first time, they won't mess with the formula.

But it will probably be very camp and ridiculous, which is fine.

So I can't wait to see it!

I'll wait and see if there is an unrated version like the first one.

The New Zealand Film Commission are pushing it as it was filmed in NZ with the same kiwi director and crew.

I still think Housebound (2014) was the better film (no US remake ever happened like planned.)

Plus it has two of the same writers as Malignant.
