why vinyl only? Why, queen??
If only one new song is being included, I guess it’s only one of these.
I wonder why Secret, I’d Rather Be, Human Nature, and Don’t Stop were re-registered? Maybe new mixes?
If this thing truly is only an EP, we’re probably only getting a few of the original songs with it. Maybe that’s why those four were re-registered. All speculation of course. Maybe she has a mini-documentary for it planned or something. It kind of sounds like it’s more than just a simple vinyl release but more of a making of thing. Maybe they have a virtual web site for it in the works. A making of liner notes?
Bedtime Stories is the one album that has had next to no demo leaks. It’s crazy.
By the way, was that the photo she originally wanted for the cover. I thought it was this one. Same photographer?
There HAS to be a digital release too.

From what I remember the original info said it was black 180g. The American Life Mixshow vinyl was the same, so not really a surprise.

Bring It, Goodtime & Tongue Tied are all unreleased Shep demo songs, as far as I know, their existence has been know for a while. Don't Stop is probably original Daniel Abraham (of Fever edit one & Rain radio remix) production, here's him talking about it:
Originally, I had several tracks of mini-moog playing all the way through the song, to add a funky/fusion/trippy vibe to the track. The assistant in the session told me "You can't do that on a Madonna record", and sure enough, when Madonna came in the studio and heard the track, she axed the idea. So what is on the album is really an incomplete, stripped-down version of my original idea. Sometimes I wonder if she would like it now though...

Actually no, the list is out and Madonna is not on it. Also it says pre-prder coming soon so it will be on her store (but I also believe everywhere).

You can't pre-order RSD releases. Fingers crossed it will be also available on digital platforms.

Wasn’t the plan for it to be out for RSD last fall, but there was a delay because it hadn’t been approved by her? If so, that’s probably why it’s being released separately now
I actually believe she wants to make more more money and not it being “limited”! We’ll see!

I suspect we'll eventually get a deluxe edition of the Bedtime Stories album with all this and more on CD.

For the new album I am really hoping to hear Tokischa on a track. Also I would like to hear some reggaeton from Arca thrown in there. Surprise us with unexpected twists, Queen!
Also I remember Dev Hynes was there with her in an early screening of Madame X tour film back in the day, I know it's less likely than Tokischa or Arca but I have wondered for a long time what Dev and Madonna would sound like together in a track

Yes, buy it. I agree that the cover isn’t great but the content inside is superb. Will take me ages to get through.

It's excellent. There are lots of typos and imperfect English, but the author did a fantastic job overall. It's full of fascinating information, even for longtime, diehard fans.
Also, why does the cover design put you off? It's a gorgeous image of M and the design itself is cute.
