Madonna - 15th Album

About to go off on a mini “my dream 2023/2024 Madonna album” tangent, but I would love if she revisited the double album idea she had with Rebel Heart properly and gave us a project made up of half upbeat dance-pop tracks that would use something like the Paper shoot as its visual world, something super fun and colorful but still kinda sweaty and sexy.

Then the other half of the album would be more conceptual. Darker, with moodier synths and deeper house sounds that would use something like these Thierry Mugler looks as the visual inspo

The way this could actually be true. I am remembering the Instagram stories she posted a few months back where she was "frozen" and "burning up". That was camp and I loved it.

Oh, tea.

I don't think she'd ever go for it, but I want real world lo-fi "found" footage for videos

contrasted with simpler/sleeker performance based ones

Also for her to branch out in who she works with in terms of photography. Would love to see her work with Indiana Piorek (very candid, lo-fi) and Nadia Lee Cohen (editorial, character studies)

I'd love it if she were to visually do sort of an opposite book end to the era when she rose to fame. During the 80's she was the street style punk artsy new kid on the block. It could be cool if she did something stylistically leaning towards the 80's but then on the yuppie side of the spectrum. A sort of upstairs/downstairs contrast. The glitzy glam of sleek Working Girl chique, clad in Halston, faux furs, riding in the backs of limousines, sunglasses at night, business, wealth, greed is good aesthetic. Lauren Hutton, Jerry Hall, rich bitch on speed. She's leaned into it recently on several occasions. Sort of the vision of what the Ballroom scene aspired during the time she herself was struggling and starting to make her mark on society and shifted the spectrum forever. Mother of the house! Styled and art directed by Fabien Baron.

Ugh Madonna x Nadia Lee Cohen (or Cindy Sherman) would be a dream.

It's so weird that M and Cindy haven't linked up at all. Like...

But yeah. Ultimately, I would love to see her indulge the two sides of herself while also pushing herself as a performance artist. Because she has said she considers herself one, but I feel like we haven't really seen that side of her since... X-Static Process with Steven Klein? Where she was really willing to be "ugly" and seen in a different light than she had been previously. Something like that combined with a banging dance album would be incredible.

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling another GP darling era could be coming, maybe for the first time since Confessions. Give us a hit, Mom!

Not here for ugly or cheap aesthetics. If she wants to do something different there are so many styles.

Fans are still disappointed with HC visuals, so why should she do something cheap again?

I mean there’s a way to do “cheap” while still being cool. It's also just about harmony between what she's doing visually and sonically. Like if she's channeling a party vibe then I don't want a glossy Jonas Akerlund video, I want something that captures that raw energy. It's also just very on trend right now.

and of course from Madonna herself

And Hard Candy visuals are a kitsch serve. Sorry if you lack vision!

Does anyone have the video and/or audio snippets she's teased on Instagram in the last year or so? She's posted beats and there was even one with her vocals on it.
