Who’s That Girl was cute and funny. I always thought she should have tried more comedic roles instead of trying to be a serious dramatic actress. Her sense of humor was underrated.
The original was good even with those bits cos it was all about social classes differences. Once the political subtext is gone the movie that remains is really...I mean..swept away. The yellow dress scene is indeed the best part. Madonna being Madonna is always the best
Wasn’t she also briefly considered for Michelle’s role in Batman Returns? It’s weird how often their paths seem to have crossed
Michelle puts in one of THE cinema performances for me as Selina but I do think Madonna could have been passable actually. Nowhere near as good - but passable. Better than the more heavily rumoured notion that she was up for the role of Harley Quinn in the cancelled 5th film.
I’m glad she didn’t get the role of Ginger in Casino to be honest. I watched it a few weeks ago and I just don’t think she could’ve pulled that role off.
Hmmm, I dunno. Sharon is obviously incredible in that role but after seeing Dangerous Game I could definitely imagine Madonna doing a decent-ish job with that part. I have no doubt that Scorsese would get the very best out of her.
I believe so, although everyone in the world was also considered for that role nn. My favorite is Liza
I think she had the part until she found out she was pregnant? I’m not sure though, someone correct me if I’m wrong nn.
Love Don’t Live Here Anymore (with probably also the promo only club mixes) and Fever are the next digital singles coming next month.
Well Madonna said she convinced Parker with her long letter and the Take A Bow video, but I believe Michelle didn’t want to do it in the end becase she had a small child? I don’t think she was totally already part of the cast though, Madonna was part of the cast in the early 90s with Banderas when Stone was going to direct it.
Great news about the next two singles. They will also include 9-10 tracks, I didn't even know there were so many! Like, did they manage to source actual masters? It's only getting better, I'm very surprised.
I’m very interested to see what Fever mixes get included because there are well over twenty if you include all the edits; Edit One finally making it onto streaming after all these years would be a gag. Really glad to hear the Love Don’t Live Here Anymore remixes are coming too - fingers crossed I can finally replace the vinyl rips of the Picciotti remixes that I’ve had for years nn
Love Don't Live Here Anymore remixes on streaming means that they're really digging deep into archives surely? This is great news.
