Madonna Infinity is really the worst. People hates Dark Ballet because it’s not “catchy”.

Pitchfork will give it a 6.0 at best, and we will deal.
At the very least, I hope the review will acknowledge her willingness to push her creative boundaries.
The Pitchfork review will have good writing (their Rebel Heart review was really well done, despite the low mark), but this is optimistic as hell. Even their Medellin review, while positive, played into the usual trite anti-Madonna narratives (for example, accusing her of trend chasing).
I think the song has more in common with 1970s prog rock, which tended to incorporate grandiose classical passages and spoken word, than Queen's brand of pomposity.
I can see why some people don't like the melody, but it seems extremely catchy to me? Not in a way that's necessarily immediately pleasing and it's definitely simple, but it seems like something that could easily get stuck in one's head. And the Nutcracker is one of the catchiest bops of all time.
Don't get me wrong. Pure pop and bop lovers and even people who strongly prefer traditional songcraft will not use, but the individual pieces are all pretty catchy IMO.

I wish Kanye was executive producing this album, I trust him with vocal processing more than Mirwais at this point.
Yeah, Madonna Infinity is absolute trash. There are a few people I like on the forum, but there's such a lack of intelligent discussion and the posters let so much offensive shit be said without calling people on it. You can say something straight up racist or sexist over there and only a few people will speak up. For all Popjustice's flaws, I love how this forum will absolutely tear problematic posters apart.

I really adore Dark Ballet. It's definitely the most curious thing she's ever released and not at all what I'd call single material but it's also one of the more interesting things I've heard from her recently.
In fact, part of me wishes it would go even more batshit and it almost feels too short. I'd be very happy with an extended version.
I think the video will only help enhance it and I'm excited to see how she performs it on tour.

That would be MadonnaNation. They are the worst when it comes to Madonna and other artists. The fact they'll be openly wishing death, making transphobic remarks etc.

I got banned from MadonnaNation in 2014 for having the Rebel Heart demos and giving detailed descriptions about them so... work. I never wanted to go back. Horrific website.
