Madonna - The Celebration Tour 2023

It just makes so much sense for her to announce South American dates as soon as I bought tickets for The Weeknd's show. End my bank account and my life, mom!

As much as I want some Australian or Asian tour dates...my wallet isn't ready for that news this week.
I'm thinking (hoping) she'll only announce some South American shows this week.

Me too!

Of course I want her to come to Australia it’s been 7 years this week since she was last here BUT I’m not financially ready

So... Australia?
Congratulations Australia.

"IF" she announces Australia with South America/Mexico.. I hope it's stadiums.
South America will almost definitely be stadiums to make it financially profitable; I think Aust. should be the same?

Someone already explained that the pricing it so high that she earns the same amount with arenas basically. Plus they likely would need to get a bigger stage and change the show for stadiums which would also mean extra investments?

South America has always been stadiums and there was no change in the staging for Sticky & Sweet and MDNA that were played in arenas in other places.

Concerts in South America are a different beast, she's not going to make shows in arenas here because she's usually only does 2-3 dates in 2 cities per country. In a huge country like Brazil what happens is the whole country travels to those 2 cities. Let alone that I think she would lose money if she didn't go for stadiums.

I don't think she's doing South America though, it is probably Australia now and Asia will be next.

100%
Madonna has never played arenas in South America, always stadiums - and she made it work with previous tours.
Re. Australia - there's a lot of wealth here and people will pay higher prices, but it just comes down to - does she want to come - and does a local promoter want her to come?
