Madonna

Beginning work on a playlist tentatively called Madonna: After Dark.

It'll be you know, a journey, it's cathartic, you get on this train you have to stay to the end, just like growing up, etc. Essentially, it'll be her eerier, spookier songs, as well as atmospheric, inventive remixes.

I'm taking recommendations if anybody has them, especially for remixes to include.

This to kick things off, clearly.

Well...I Want You fits this brief to a T.

Secret Garden def needs to be on this.

I'll always feel upset when Rhino (a label for has beens / non-active WEA acts) gets her stuff out there. Warner are trash. I know it's a subsidiary but really have some respect.

Speaking of unreleased tracks I think Never Let You Go is her most popular unreleased song on YouTube

It has so much potential for a really good album cut (not single material).

This, Heaven, and Queen were all such missed opportunities. I can understand cutting Queen because there's such a finality to the lyrics (or they could be read as such), but I really hope she revisits the other two at some point down the line - if Back That Up To The Beat got a second life on Madame X anything is possible.

Also, Crimes of Passion is one of her best 80s songs full stop and I'll forever be salty it went unused.
