I'm honestly glad the film has been shelved for now with the onset of biopic fatigue. We're like five announcements away from the biopics of Paula Abdul and Cyndi Lauper at this point, so I say let Hollywood get it out of their system and revisit the project later on. It would be fitting for her to let the movie format run dry then reinvent it as a miniseries at some point.

I’m definitely here for a Bedtime Stories deluxe, there’s a decent amount of unreleased material to make it worth it, but it just seems so random when the debut 40th anniversary is right there? At this point just release them all at once, I’m prepared to go bankrupt for them.

I get why previous posters want a series. But I'm really looking forward to hearing M's music booming through the speakers in a theater. I remember watching Hustlers and being struck by how good Janet's music sounded. The opening notes to Like a Prayer would set up the climactic scene so well. Can you imagine the shivers?

My pick: A theatrical film focusing on her early years (dir. by someone like David Finch), then a multi-part documentary with her talking about all her major eras, including all the albums!
