Madonna

Love the Oakenfold and Felix mixes, Missy is a miss and Peter also delivers (twice). American Life is a comparatively subdued album, but it's got plenty of prizes (Intervention being an all time Madge marvel if you ask me), remixes galore (Love Profusion, Hollywood, Nothing Fails), glimpses of underrated production (I'm So Stupid) and some really didn't come to life until being performed live (Nobody Knows Me). It's like the execution of it all is simultaneously off in places and yet totally rewards more patient listening. However, I do find some of the material that others rave about to be a bit of a bore (sorry Easy Ride and X-Static Process fans) and a big highlight for me, Mother and Father, gets it so right and so wrong at the same time it's impossible to know which. Perhaps because it lacks the sure-fire instant gratification of Music's side-splitting disco thrills, its more discreet direction and intentions passed me by a bit at the time. However, in 2023 I give the album a B+

It’s here and it looks waaay better live than on pictures or videos. Wish they used the uncropped picture though.

Look forward to receive mine, I love the MDNA sleeve.

Just ordered the one for American Life. They say featuring two of the main covers created for the album...but there was just one...?

Maybe they mean the one from the deluxe without the text? I’m gonna pass on it, too expensive. Funny there is no mockup this time!
Anyway I want the t-shirt.
