I'm gonna come back to this, every time I run it from the top I end up on "Watching T.V." with no recollection of what came before.
"Death & Romance" is still a banger.
I went back to Mercurial and it's way more eclectic, varietal and punchy in the instrumental department. Disk tends to be more chilled out, mid-tempo and a little homogenous (derogatory). I'm hoping it'll reveal itself over time but it's just not hitting (yet?) for me.I'm having the same problem, it's a very good record but it's not sticking that quick, I find myself lost in the middle of it.
Agreed, it actually may be my favourite on the whole album, can't believe how it's being slept on!‘Killing Time’ is really really god tier, its absolutely blossomed for me. What a BOP!
Oh you gotta listen to their entire discography, but especially these:Gave Mercurial World a spin for the first time yesterday and was a bit blown away. How has it taken me this long!
Before Imaginal all I’d heard from them was Good Intentions, Secret and Top Dog.
I can’t believe how different Mercurial and Imaginal are. Mercurial is sooo like clean, crisp, and poppy, compared to the more brash, acoustic influences on Imaginal.
Dawning of the Season, Hysterical Us, and the final three tracks are on heavy rotation.
