I think he has a good chance, though I really don't want him to win. The fact that he has made it this far and made history on the show it's all good to me.

You hit the nail on the head here imnotshy. This is exactly the type of stuff he should be doing but with a bit of uptempo's thrown in. If he wins, I don't think he will have the opportunity to put out this type of music.

There's a difference. You didn't see Joe's boyfriend appear on Xtra Factor and in the press, for a start.

I see Simon Cowell does not want him to win, I wonder if Marcus will get a deal if he comes second.He should have done a Joe until the win was in the bag.

Simon is definitely Team Little Mix. I think being openly gay won't/ has done no harm to Marcus. I think it's his style and the direction he wants to go in that is so limiting where Little Mix appeals to a lot of people. I'm sure Simon sees more money coming from Little Mix.

I fear Marcus will be Ray Quinn/ Leon 2.0. I really would love if he was successful though. Little Mix are fine either way, win or lose, but I'm not sure what would be better for Marcus at the moment.

Well if he wins he gets a deal that they'll get out of after 1 flop single/album. If he comes 2nd I don't think Syco will pick him up. Maybe someone else will.

I'm such a pessimist.

Rufus Hound was spot on about Marcus during Xtra Factor. Little Mix was eclectic enough on the show to put out a good album if they won the show. While someone like Marcus who pigeonholed himself to a particular style would be forced to and be rushed to release that style of music if he won.
(i'm paraphrasing) " ' If he spends a year away without all the pressure to release an album in that particular style it would benefit him"

I'm truly hoping Marcus does not win tonight. Being in the final is good enough to start his career.

Yeah, maybe it would be better if he doesn't win. I think Little Mix are going to win it anyway. I just hope he gets picked up by some label and doesn't pigeonhole himself into a certain sound/ style.

I could imagine him doing something like Lloyd's "Dedication to My Ex".

WIll be interesting to see where they go with him.
