Mariah Carey

I love Brighton and Mariah, but just think it will be too busy for me! I went to Brighton Pride many, many years ago but pretty sure it's got busier since.

How does it compare with Mighty Hoopla? I went to that in 2023 and the crowds were too much.

I'm such a frump.

I think the parade is the same as always for Brighton. But actually think the crowds in the park for headliners are less intense, if you're not down the front. They also have really good screens positioned in the park too (which Hoopla lacks) and lots of areas to spread out and chill in the other areas.

Yeah, Brighton Pride is much less intense than Hoopla. Yes, there’s other stages but not in the same way of Hoopla. It’s 95% all about the main stage. Never had an issue with queuing for toilets, bars or food.

She’s doing a live show at Sandringham with Nile Rodger’s & Chic and the bigoted Eternal.

Not usually one for aimless fan campaigns but genuinely disgusted at the idea of having to sit through them. I’m sure her team are probably clueless but they need removing from the bill.

That aside - it’s billed as a UK Headline Exclusive so will be the only show she does besides Brighton Pride.

NOT my favourite singer of all time being supported by my favourite group of all time (CHIC, not Eternal!)

I'll be seated.

I am going to Brighton Pride and really excited to see Mariah perform. It fees like a long time since I went to her Caution concert in 2019.

It is quite ironic that Mariah is headlining Brighton Pride, and at her next UK gig is being supported by a transphobic group. I would love to go to see Mariah at Sandringham as well, but having Eternal as one of the supporting acts is putting me off buying a ticket. I agree that her team probably have no idea about Eternal's bigoted behaviour. However, given Mariah's large LGBTQ+ fanbase, many of whom may be at her Sandringham gig, it could be uncomfortable for members of our community to attend the gig, let alone watch Eternal’s performance.
