I hope the album comes soon-ish. I don't want another 5 month drip feed rollout.

  9. ~3 months like last time (since Baby was a Clean Bandit single) would be nice.

  10. God, FROOT of the Month was interminable.

  11. [Verse 1]
Cheeks are rosy like a Boucher cherub
    I'm a strawberry soda
    Raise my lashes to heaven
Stars in my hair running like a waterfall
Clouds in the whites of our eyes, we saw it all
    Burnt me at the stake
You thought I was a witch, centuries ago
Now you just call me a bitch

    [Chorus]
    Mother nature’s dying
    Nobody’s keeping score
    I don’t wanna live in a man’s world anymore
    I don’t wanna live in a man’s world anymore
    Anymore

    [Verse 2]
    Marilyn’s bungalow it’s number seven
In the pink palace where men made her legend
Owned by a sheik who killed thousands of gay men
I guess that’s why he bought the campest hotel in LA then

    [Chorus]
    Mother nature’s dying
    Nobody’s keeping score
    I don’t wanna live in a man’s world anymore
    I don’t wanna live in a man’s world anymore

    [Post-Chorus]
If you have a mother, daughter or a friend
Maybe it is time, time you comprehend
The world that you live in
Ain’t the same one as them
So don’t punish me for not being a man

    [Bridge]
Spring appears when the time is right
Women are violets coming to light
Don't underestimate the making of life
The planet has a funny way of stopping a fight

    [Post-Chorus]
If you have a mother, daughter or a friend
Maybe it is time, time you comprehend
The world that you live in
Ain’t the same one as them
So don’t punish me 'cause I'm not a man

    [Outro]
So don’t punish me 'cause I'm not a man
    'Cause I'm not a man

    I kind of love them.

I actually really like the lyrics. Post-chorus sounds a bit on the nose but the remaining lines are so odd they could work.
I can't for the life of me figure out how they could turn into a song but she'll shoehorn them in somehow.

On the nose would be an understatement, but the message ain't bad.

I'm hopeful it sounds good as a track.

  15. It’s definitely a Marina song for better or worse.

  16. The only lyric that's actively bad there is "the planet has a funny way of stopping a fight" because that's just some typical Marina nonsense but the rest sounds quite interesting.

I really hope there isn't a song about the pandemic being a way to punish mankind, ddd.

  19. Honestly those lyrics are amazing and terrible at the same time, and I think I'm 100% on board with this all.

  20. I'm really liking what we're hearing so far in the snippet. Some of the lyrics seem a little...clumsy, but not totally uncharacteristic of her, so I don't mind.

    Excited for the new era!
