She should be doing both Oh No AND Blue. Making the audience choose between them while she's playing this limp turd of an album. Muffy sis the cruelty.
'Loss + Failure'Someone called the album ‘Lack + Failure’ in another thread and I screamed (nn).
Anyone know rough stage times for Allie X and Marina?
It's been 9 years since I saw Marina live so I'm super excited to see her in Brighton.
All of this. She did a brilliant job and put on a great show which really enjoyable from start to finish. She could have used different visuals for some of the songs (the Shutterstock footage jumped out), and just two dancers with a live band would have worked so much better. The dancers' timing with the neon lights routine was quite off which was kind of distracting. My fave moment from the Dublin gig this evening (and I'm paraphrasing) is "We love it when you sing along Dublin!...... to the backing vocals". I was officially gagged - it was very Lisa Scott Lee but very Marina.
Do the Singer/Dancers have their mics turned on ? You can barely hear them if they do.
This show would really go off (further) if there was a live band present. A single musician alternating between drums and plinky plonky is an odd move.
I do adore this show in all its high school glory though. She and her team have done amazing things with the budget restraints.
No More Suckers was everything. I'm very lucky I got to see the first leg at the RAH and this much more intimate affair. And, at least the screens made it to Ireland this time!
She 'conferred' with her sound guy - pretty sure they did check which made a bigger impression on her mic.According to my friend who saw her last night, she asks the crowd whether they want Oh No or Blue (which is why she's alternating) but they cheered louder for Blue and she played Oh No anyway ddddd
I thought the show was much better than the first leg. The dancers were still very unnecessary but it was significantly less cheap & cringeworthy. I even walked away with a bit of an appreciation for End of The Earth. Not a fan of the recent album and the tour looks a little cheap but I'd go see her next week. Is she good?
Fff I decided to work this show, I'll be at the back shouting at her to do Mowgli's Road, Shampain and I'm A RuinI could literally get paid to see her live, and I'm still debating it because she's not playing Mowgli's Road ñnn
I have no idea about a possible price drop. Is it actually a thing overseas? There is a "send your name + first name" contest on this website though. Perhaps you'll be lucky! So girls, I've just discovered that Merna is having a gig in Paris this Friday and as my sister is visiting I'm considering going. 50 euros tho is lowkey theft considering the reviews I've seen here so my question is: is there a possibility that the tickets are gonna drop in price something like the day before the gig? Money is a dangerous thing for a gurl like me to have etc etc
No idea tbh, but I don't really think she can fill the Zenith. Is it actually a thing overseas?
Price drops on the day only happen if it's selling really poorly or they're using dynamic pricing on the tour (they aren't here). At least those are the two examples I've encountered, I mean, we've had some PopJustice faves at work who have had some extremely poor sales to the point that they had to start giving away free meet and greet tickets, which were originally on sale for £120.I have no idea about a possible price drop. Is it actually a thing overseas?
