After multiple listens, I've decided that the new snippet sounds like a slowie intro that soon builds into a huge singalong bridge and then BOOM! THE CHORUS HITS! AND THERE YOU HAVE IT IT'S MARINA BELTING TO THE MOST EXCITING GENRE OF CUTTING-EDGE ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC ("EDM" if you're a toddler) THROBBING SYNTHS AND ASTOUNDING VOCAL ACROBATICS. Or maybe it's Buy the Stars 2.0. We'll see.

This could be - and likely is - a ballad on the album though. Heaven knows we need more of those, because Marina excels at them.

I really like the snippet. I just love her voice. She could sing all of the posts in the MKS thread and make it sound amazing.

Remember, we had "Fear and Loathing" before "Radioactive".

David Kosten's work with Bat for Lashes is just sublime. And very varied - from glossy, upbeat synthpop to traditional chamber music. I wouldn't mind it if he turned out to be the sole producer for Marina's next album. They seem like a perfect fit.

Well both Marina albums are brilliant because of the strength of her songwriting and melodies, so whatever sonic path she takes on album three I have faith that it'll be pretty great.
