Martine McCutcheon.

Her singles run is so faultless. I wish she’d squeezed a couple more from Wishing though.

Tonight with a new mix would’ve been a great single I think.

Rainy Days from 'You Me & Us' was a missed single.

I think 'Teardrops' sounded like a lost Rachel Stevens 'Come & Get It' track and could have been a cool single. 'Love Changes Nothing' and 'What You See Is What You Get' are quite single-worthy too.

I wonder if Rainy Days was meant to be the 3rd single but they changed plans when she got asked to do CIN, since they commissioned remixes for it.

I was all over Wishing again the other week.

That album deserves to be a much bigger early noughties cult classic like Come and Get It or State of Mind.
I know it was a flop but I just sought it out on Spotify and honestly the image of the cover brought back so memories- to me, it felt like that image was everywhere at one point.

I can't believe she was ever in a band like Milan when she had vocals like that.

It’s a cute album but it’s still way too cheesy. I have been obsessed with Love Changes Nothing lately. The proto-Victoria Beckham-esque spoken word second verse is iconic.

I still wanna know how Every Time and Billie Piper’s The Tide is High have the same backing track.

Oh my word they do! I wonder if the producer knew they were never going to release it properly so just repurposed it? Martine’s album came out six months later.

I always wonder if they regret killing her off on EastEnders - her and Patsy could have been a duo forever.

Matthew Robinson who made the decision to do it certainly doesn’t regret it. He’s posted on Walford Web forum and has explained his reasoning for killing Tiffany and sticks by it.

I don’t agree with what he did but in fairness I think Martine probably did have an ego back then but hey she was early 20s with big ambitions beyond the soap. She seemed to be very liked by her cast mates so her biggest fault was having big dreams. What’s so bad about that? I think he wanted to punish her (and Michelle Collins who apparently wouldn’t return his calls to shoot a trial for Cindy in late 1998) so made an example of them both. Fortunately Michelle’s death could be reversed Tiffany’s could never be and she’ll forever be immortalised in nineties Walford.
