i loooovvveee mel c soo much i think shes great, i love that she just does what she wants, leave her alone and let her do her thing, if ya dont like it, dont listen or buy her music simple as really!!!

Well, that's the thing. Nobody's gonna buy it.

From what PJ has said, "I Want Candy" is completely out of place on the album. So not only is it strange to lead off the album with a song that's not that crash hot, but it's also strange to lead off with a deceiving song.

But, anyway, no sense debating since nobody's gonna buy it and there'll be a Spice Girls reunion come 2008.

I've nothing against her. In fact I have a love/hate relationship with her. I LOVE When you're gone, Closer, Northern Star. Hell, I even bought the Yeh Yeh Yeh single but it just does my head in when it comes to production terms in her albums.
Why doesn't she get back to Marius Devries or Phil Tornalley? They "made" NS a great album (as well as did Orbit and others). At least get the producers/collaborators du jour like Robert Smith (Even Ashlee freakin Simpson got him), Kara Dioguardi, John Shanks, Greg Wells or any other mor rock/pop producer out there because frankly Melanie C by herself just doesn't cut it and if you're gonna make an album full of by the number inspirational ballads with predictable key changes at least make it interesting and fun hearing it.
Even if IWC misses the Top 10 and TT goes lingers in the lower 30's I'm sure we won't have seen the last of her and she'll be back late 2009. Mark my words.

I imagine it's partly because she's on her own label and so the costs just aren't viable, but partly because she may just be arrogant enough to believe that she doesn't need them. Madonna is her idol so perhaps she's pushing Madonna's mantra upon herself - ignore the producers that everyone else is working with and find some new talent yourself.

When all is said and done, where Mel C is concerned, you kind of have to think ''Bless her''!

Wow. If she ever thinks she's going to approach even the slightest amount of success and respect that Madonna has then she's sorely mistaken.

Spice Girls or not.

It's at 53 on the Amazon rank at the moment, which is pretty good for an album that's not out yet - so this could do better than people are expecting.

I dont know what will happend with TT, i've hear the songs and I think the album is great, her voice sounds good and one more time she's doing all what she wants to do, maybe it will flop, whatever... it's not gonna be the end for her...

I think her music is much better than what some other and more popular artists are doing right now...

I hope the album will not be the biggest flop of the year!!cross fingers

Anyone noticed she scarily looks like the teacher whos shagging her pupil from Skins in the video?

So I'm not alone then! It is a killer fringe though, best thing she's done in ages.

The woman teacher from "Skins" is actually mentioned in the Welsh-language music thread, as she does guest vocals on a Welsh electropop song!

Melanie doesn't help herself by taking cheap swipes at her fellow bandmates. "I've made the best music" is such a dumb claim to make. The people who buy solo Spice music are about 95% former Spice Girls fans - it makes no sense therefore to slag off your target audience's other likes. Apart from the claim being a load of old bobbins!

I really can't see the album doing too well over here, and if she's happy to make a career out of top 20 German singles and number one albums in Portugal rather than get back with the girls, then I guess that's up to her.

And popcorn.

Hey a #1 in Portugal is just as good as a #1 in Britain.

...lol.

Sorry. I tried to keep a straight face.

I'm a massive fan of Northern Star and never really enjoyed the other two albums. I still occasionally listen to Beautiful Intentions. But I'm actually really enjoying the songs on this album from what I've heard. I usually hate radio friendly guitar based ballads but this a great collection of songs! I really love May your heart and Don't let me go, so melodic and they fit Mel like a glove. I really think she's found a niche with this album.
