But wait, that means we won’t know how many votes each entry got, just the points. That’s a shame, I like to compare the results with the old voting system.

I don't think we ever got the numbers broken down by age group, just the points and the total votes?

There is some sort of... colour-happy diagram at Schlagervännerna's blog, but it's utter nonsense.

That’s right, but that’s enough to compare the results to the old system. It also gives you a picture about which age groups has the most voters and the least voters. Now SVT have made it conveniently impossible to criticise how the voting process works.

I know I am a grumpy old man, but I still can’t get over the fact that there are enough 3-9 year-olds with access to smartphones that they get as much voting power as 30-44 year-olds for example.

In that Schlagervännerna podcast SVT linked to they mentioned that the youngest age group tended to vote for the early entries, suggesting they fall asleep during the show or at least focus their attention elsewhere. The prime example being how they hated Danny Saucedo when he ended the first heat and then loved him when he opened the final.
