This isn't directly related to the death of MJ, but does he have any remix albums and are they any good? I'm trying to delve into some stuff of his I haven't heard before.

Blood on the Dancefloor contains a number of remixes I think? Remixes of tracks from the HIStory album. It also contains new tracks that were not on HIStory.

edit: I was really late in getting this out there, evidently!

Re: Michael Jackson dies aged 50

I do hope every single one of his albums is bought in the millions over the coming weeks, I hate to point this out, but he was not exactly in the most comfortable financial position. I would hate to see his children be saddled with his enormous debt and lawsuits.

Yeah I was wondering what the hell would happen to his debts and stuff now...

Don't debts generally die with you?

Haha yeah that's the third response, but thanks for the responses! I'm not terribly into house remixes but maybe I'll find some tracks on Youtube or something and give them a go.

I'd have thought if his work continues to generate profits then whoever is owed money would be after them - I have absolutely no idea how it works though, that's just me speculating.

Even if you just downloaded the 5 original tracks, they're still worthwhile.

Re: Michael Jackson dies aged 50

I've done something quite sad now. I have a couple of shelves in my room where I display music. I've cleared some space to put a few MJ albums up there. It's my own little tribute.

Check out the original Blood on the Dancefloor if you haven't already, it is absolutely epic. Also, Stranger In Moscow (Tee's In-House Club Mix). I haven't heard it in ages but remember loving it when I was younger.

The Sound Bluntz version of "Billie Jean" is great.
They had to get a soundalike for the single release but it's him on the bootlegs.

Ooh yes, I love that, especially the first three seconds.

Because his three children are all minors, I cannot say for sure, but usually debts and lawsuits are transferred to the next of kin here in the States. Now, this does not mean that Prince, Paris, and Blanket will be dealing with the electric bill for the Neverland Ranch at the end of the month, but I imagine whatever he still had left in his name is going to be sold quite quickly so the children are not burdened. His catalog has to be worth millions upon millions of dollars, if they could find someone willing to spend that kind of money at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold.

I'm glad Britney made a statement. I always thought she looked her absolute sexiest of all time when she performed with him.

Absolutely. Her legs where UNREAL, and the way she WALKED...my GOD, the way she walked across that stage.

The only thing that has made me smile about this whole thing: Anderson Cooper admitting his mother took him to Studio 54 when he was ten, where he met Michael Jackson. "I didn't know who he was, but he started dancing, and I thought to myself, 'this guy's a really good dancer.'"
Ha! Thanks for postin' that boo. Gotta love Miss Gloria Vanderbilt!

Made me smile and I needed that after readin' some of these sweet tributes.

Re: Michael Jackson dies aged 50

I have no words, i can't believe it. I'm still in shock. I had just bought tickets yesterday for London to see him after being unsuccessful the first time around in March. What a waste. His poor children. Entertainment Tonight posted a sick picture of him in tjhe back of the ambulance & there was one on TMZ of Jermaine & his wife moments after arriving at the hospital - who takes these pictures?

With such a double tragedy of Michael & Farrah Fawcett, it's almost hard to take in. I was such a fan - even of his Jackson 5 stuff. It just seems such a waste.

Do you think they'll leave his body in state for fans to pay their respects & then have a private family & very very close friends funeral?

Isn't it strange that 'Man In The Mirror' is the song being most downloaded on iTunes, the song being quoted the most etc etc - and Michael didn't even write it? The lyrics and message are closely tied with his image though, and the song remains one of his best.
