Re: Miguel - 3rd Studio Album

You bumped the thread at the right time - he's actually releasing a reworked version of 'Coffee' as the lead single tomorrow which features Wale, and is now tastefully retitled to 'Coffee (Fucking)'.

Well then.

That picture is just pure sex. I wonder how the reworked ''Coffee'' will sound as I loved the version on his EP.

Well then.

Is that the artwork for the single? It's amazing. Very Prince.

Re: Miguel - 3rd Studio Album

I had high hopes but what a shame! The earlier version only needed a smooth fade-out or something.

Without Wale's dreadful feature the superfluous outro might've sounded organic but as it stands, the track is about a minute or two too long. At least with another 'I wish I could paint our love, these moments in vibrant hues' (maybe around the 3:15 mark) it might've been more rewarding.

And what's with fucking in the chorus? It and Wale add absolutely nothing. Disappointing rework.

They ruined the song, damn. It was so beautiful and now it's just too crass for me.

Re: Miguel - 3rd Studio Album

I haven't listened to the earlier version, but I like Coffee. It's nice. I kind of wish it was a good as the artwork.

Re: Miguel - 3rd Studio Album

The artwork is very Prince and very incredible (and yes better/bigger than the actual song). The "clean" version without Wale is preferable, pretty good song.

Definitely perched for this album.

Re: Miguel - 3rd Studio Album

It's a shame that Coffee basically sounds like a remix of Use Me. Makes it far less impressive.

Beautiful artwork though.
