I got my second dose yesterday and I have an extremely itchy second head growing out of my arm at this point. Also not sure if it's supposed to look like this, but you can practically trace the redness up one vein to my underarm dddd

It wasn't so bad. There were only 3 people besides me that I saw when in the clinic, which goes to show how widespread the rollout has been I suppose? 8 weeks since my last dose, and there's now a keloid scar advisory which can help determine your type of dose. Also, I think I saw a mention that cases overall have lessened 40% in the US since mid-August. So hmmm.

My 2nd dose, which was in my forearm rather than my tricep, has caused a similar reaction. A very itchy, large red lump on my arm. My coworkers asked if I got stung by something.

To be honest, I barely have sex since the gay scene is so damn masc4masc. So I really am only getting the shots for peace of mind I guess more than anything. After these last few years i'm like "Okay you got a vaccine for something? Okay go ahead, poke my arm. Why not?"

Just got vaccy! Had to come to Paris to get it. If anyone wants, you can book an appointment using the Doctorlib app and using your ID and European health card you can get vaccinated all over Paris.

Turns out I had my 1st dose as a child (they checked the forearm) so this counts as my second one.

I've had literally no side effects from shot #2. I guess that's a relief.

This seems to have dropped off dramatically here in London - I haven't heard anyone mention it in weeks, even in a I-know-someone-who-had-it way.

I had visions of it taking hold but she seems to have flopped, luckily?

Much of it has to do it with it being a virus with multiple (at least 2) vaccination routes, and it being a well-studied/understood affliction? The fact that it was combing through the queer community after HIV/AIDS means so many of the community mobilized and did their part. I was nervous like anyone else at the start, but after COVID, I tend to believe people can be more induced to protecting their health with available means.

Yes, I agree with @Mr.Arroz just anecdotally - many other queer people around me also quickly looked into getting vaccinated, communicated about the available resources, and really "mobilized" in prevention. I haven't heard about cases in weeks and I live in a pretty home-of-sexual area.

Hope you’re doing ok now? I just read guidance stating if you’re male and under 40 you may want to give 4 weeks between a monkeypox/smallpox jab and covid booster, due to the potential risk of myocarditis. I had my second monkeypox jab Wednesday and am booked to get my bivalent covid booster today but now gonna wait a few weeks for the latter just in case. I had a cold a few weeks ago which raised my resting heart rate and that still hasn’t come down to baseline again so I don’t wanna risk anything. Saying that, if I end up catching covid in the next few weeks I’m gonna be pissed.
