With some legacy artists working on 4 year cycles, I think any artist who has not released anything new for 5 years or more probably falls into the comeback category.
I might be in the minority but I quite like having artists like Kim Wilde, Bananarama etc who still actively release music being in comeback corner. I feel like they'd just get lost in Pop & Justice.
Have they actually announced anything or are they just causing chaos by changing their social media photos?
They’ve posted a teaser of something brand new, updated all social media, and their official website mentioning the 20th anniversary of One Touch. It’s pretty safe to assume things are moving.
Hmm. I feel like we’ve been burned before with this group - let’s give it until they actually announce a single or album, and then I’ll move the thread.
Yeah, I agree. I feel like bc Sugababes are such a hallmark of British pop, and especially on a forum like this, they're above being stuck here if they're active and visibly releasing music. We just need something more concrete than teasers @ this point.
Uh, so apparently Swedish House Mafia is returning? The last topic I've found on it seems to be from 2012 (when they were active). So should it be moved here or just create a new one?
Swedish House Mafia were never moved to Comeback Corner (even though they should have been ddd) and with the new single they're eligible for Pop & Justice again. I've consolidated the Until One/Until Now threads and given them a new thread for the new single.
Done. I've consolidated the Jo threads into two - one for Relentless (which is closed and stays in Comeback Corner) and one for With Love (which is open and has been moved to Pop & Justice).
Any chance the thread I created for Placebo’s new album can be bumped into the main forum? It’ll probably get lost but then again there might be fans who aren’t aware this thread exists in here.
Done. Given the low engagement on previous Placebo album threads, I’ve merged them into one and made it a thread for the new album plus any general discussion. If we get enough engagement that a separate general discussion thread is needed in the future, we can revisit that.
