The band formerly known as Twin Sister has abandoned their twee-ish indie roots to release one of this year's finest electro pop albums. "Mr Twin Sister" will be released on September 23, which is literally next week! Just enough time to dig out the disco ball from your attic and mentally prepare yourself for a non-stop dance-a-thon.

I love this album. The whole name change/reinvention/'departure' from Domino is still a little strange to me but the new sound is gorgeous.

Loving the album, I thought it was a different band to Twin Sister at first! "Twelve Angels" sounds like a cousin of "Silent Shout"! "Blush" and "In the House of Yes" are my current favourites but the best lyric is surely "I'm a woman but inside I'm a man / and I want to be as gay as I can" in "Out of the Dark".

I think I've read somewhere that they're nearly done with another album, more upbeat/uptempo than this one.

One of my favorite groups of all time.

Their evolution has been so rewarding to follow! They thrived in the late 00's, survived the fizzling-out of similar chillwave indie 'darlings' from around that time, and now produce glamorous & sophisticated club-adjacent dance music. Yes, please. So excited!!
