Music Not on Streaming (And Getting It There!)

Making a playlist of best UK related Eurovision songs and noticed Love City Groove is back on streaming

Here's the playlist if anyone interested I had no idea Sister Sway and Nicki French single version was on streaming also

Great news! I didn’t realise Sanctuary/ BMG still held rights so had tried contacting the artist as I assumed the licence had expired. His wife said she’d been trying to get him to put the track on streaming but he refused as he was anti streaming.

I’m trying with Samantha Janus and James Fox is on my agenda!

@will82 @aquaplex I'm fairly sure that's a re-recording of Love City Groove and not the original. The woman's rap sounds totally different on the Spotify version to the uploads of the song on YouTube including the music video:

Although the 12" version on Spotify has the original rap vocals. Very odd.

Also their album is on there too! I didn't even know they had one to be honest after the follow up singles flopped.

It's actually an earlier version of the song that was originally on the music video.

(Seems like the music video has been blocked in UK on YouTube now but it may be a re-dubbed version.)

What's was the standard UK radio mix for "Runaway", I feel like every week people are discovering the version on digital/streaming wasn't exactly the version from the mid-90s that we bopped to (a la Corona "Rhythm of the Night"). Was it the same version on Platinum & Gold Collection?

This was the UK/European single version.

The one on Platinum & Gold (and Another Night album) was the U.S. single version.

Also confusingly they used the House Mix for the video, which O-Jay said they decided to use as it was seen as the most popular version at the time.

The UK mix is on streaming. I did ask the label about the first three singles given Star and Megamix are online but they didn’t reply

I remember a version without the raps, which is the one used on Now 30 (UK). This isn't on Spotify as far as I can tell.

It amazes me that Michael Jackson's singles still aren't on streaming. He had so many remixes in the 90s that were absolute bangers. His estate are useless.

Would love if Epic/Sony would get Pia Zadora's albums on streaming. I know When The Lights Go Out had a physical release in 2014. Those Jimmy Jam & Terry productions deserve to be streamed!
