Musicians of Popjustice

I know I commented, but I miss multimediac17 so much as a poster, so to keep any chance of him ever coming back can we please stop discussing how "oh god" his cover of Memory Of You was. I'm sure there are other musicians Popjustice has to discuss.

Luigi Masi releases worse!

I'm glad a few people have been brave enough to share their work! I have to say I wish I could use autotune, but it's probably better for my credibility that I don't. I'd abuse that sucker 'cause I'm quite lazy.

I don't think you need to use it to be honest

An example of me - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBmAZEiLSz4
I do dabble (and write stuff) but it's more something to do in my spare time as opposed to being serious with delusions of grandeur (how dull).

I like to record covers in my spare time, nothing too serious/polished. I've been doing it since 2005..

What effect are you using? What program? I enjoyed TTWE the whoa-ah-ah-ah-oh could use some more energy. I love what's my name!

I usually use the "Pop Vocals" filter and every once in a while I will turn use the pitch-correction/tuning for effect. I used it on a few songs to replicate the autotune of the original artists' recordings.

Well I'm glad the OP didn't mention anything about our stuff needing to be PJ-friendly or anything, haha.
You see, I was a long-serving member of this shouting choir (that's still active), and we performed at anything from streetcorners and squats to the main stage of Roskilde festival and London's Royal Festival Hall (when John Peel curated the Meltdown festival).

In case you're innerested, here's a live clip of our re-worked take on the American national anthem for the not-so faint of heart:

(And no, there's really no need to try to be kind about it -- this stuff is rather an acquired taste to say the least)

Freddieornot, your song writing's really interesting, I love how it has a massive flare of personality in it.

I've been working towards creating a demo EP recently and I've put a couple of the excerpts on soundcloud from the recording sessions. I won't be using said songs on any official releases or anything, but a good 500 people have listened to my cover of Glad You Came and I wanted to show them a little more of me, rather than a teenage boy that has spikey hair and sings other people's songs.

I hope you enjoy!
