And can we do a Tonia Hikaru rate next? Queen Tonia must be the reason why JPopYuna took down all her Namie cover videos

Thanks! I couldn't remember her name, but she is legendary! Can we find somewhere her Namie covers?I only found this one of Koda

At first I wanted to throw a shade how Namie's vocals on Think on me are almost as good as Yuna's(not Ito).....but I missed a train.

The only JPopYuna video I can find apart from the one you posted is from her later years when she bounced to Kpop

She had one of Namie's Hello that was I lowkey obsessed with and I'm sure she also did one of Koda's BUT which I remember bumping to.

Your gonna steal my threat without reposting the video it took me longer than needed to make because I wanted to find a picture of Namie on a step?

You'd better

This is going well. Even though I ended up not voting due to unforseen time constraints this past month I'll be following along.

I was too lazy to click on the "Prev" button. Thanks for providing it for me. I'll go update my post to make it look like I had done it all along.

KISS-AND-RIDE: 6.27
Highest Score:
10 (@soratami), 9 (@digitalkaiser, @FINISH LINE)
Lowest Score: 1 (@MarkB), 4 (@Cutlery)

"KISS-AND-RIDE" is a song that was originally released on Namie's album GENIUS 2000. It is our fourth elimination from that album. The song features a heavy vocoder, which Namie hadn't really experimented prior to this song. The song's lyrics are also extremely simple and there's really not much to write for it. It's about a girl dropping off her boyfriend and observing the people around her. Queen of driving, the speed star is her!

The vocoder was a heavy point of critique as EachSmallStep says, "A little heavy on the auto-tune considering her lower register was developed at this point. Kind of a coffee shop feel. The music needed some other instruments as it gets dreary at the end." Jawshxx agrees, "Wow, what is with the horrible autotuning of the good sis’s vocals on this album."

send photo predicts the worst for the album going forward, "Ddd this is where the album goes off the rails." (When 3 of the 5 songs in this run of tracks is already eliminated...) But RUNAWAY is finally coming around to GENIUS 2000, "okay that was another jam. Maybe this album isn’t as bad as I’m thinking it is."

Evilsin can respect Namie going out of her comfort zone, "Queen of vocoder. This is such an unusual track for her, so I might have given this a bit more score-wise." And otenkiame appreciates what an easy listen it is, "This tracks seems to be quite disliked, but I really really enjoy the laidback and chillout vibes this song gives. It's just Namie singing about kissing her lover goodbye and then going about her daily life. Totally love to just listen and chill to this."

Don't even ask about this video.

Lowest Score: 2.5 (@EachSmallStep), 4 (@yuuurei, @MarkB)

"i was a fool" was originally released in 1996 on Namie's second studio album, SWEET 19 BLUES. It's the third elimination from this album today, tough break! The song is a... upbeat? mid-tempo? saxophone fusion rap? I don't know, it's a very unique song. From what I can gather, she might've lied to someone and that resulted in her being a bit sentimental about her behaviour.

send photo sent some commentary about my life, "Sort of just exists; uneventful." Painful, but thanks. evilsin feels like it's not enough, "Kinda cute, kinda got lost. More like a prolonged interlude to me, but the sax was nice." EachSmallStep agrees that it needs more, "Missing something to make it notable. The sleek talk singing gave it points." That generous 2.5, though! And here is otenkiame, who seems to enjoy Namie with a saxophone, "Jazz seems to work really with the Queen, and this is no exception. She's also giving another rap. It's all just very smooth and laid-back. God, I just fan-girl at that saxophone solo towards the end."

There's literally NOTHING on the internet except another fireworks slideshow of the lyrics to electro music, so lemme do some K-Pop promo instead:
