Fashionista was released on June 10, 2015 with Namie's 12th album, _genic. It was one of five songs to receive a music video with the album's release. It also has a second video on the DVD dedicated the dance. It was written by Emyli, who also has backing vocals on the song. Jenna Donnelly, the writer of Just You & I, is a co-writer on the song. And it was produced by Scott Stoddart from Dasco.

Miyawakiwi might be glad they didn't hand out their 11, "A strong contender for my 11, the pv was nice, the lyrics seem to follow photogenic’s." Otenkiame sings praises, ""FASHIONISTA! FASHIONISTA BABY!" I can't use words properly to describe how much I love this track. Yeah, her upper register in the chorus is a bit hard to get used to, but I don't care. It's like a throwback to "PLAY" musically, and offers up that narcissistic Namie I love! And seeing this live!!! What an experience! I was screaming and singing like a lunatic. So fucking good." Vague finds beauty in it's flaws, "god, what a relentless bop. this is so crammed full of great little bits. it's a teensy bit messy to my ears, but even that works in its favor tbh." Maybe send photo isn't listening hard enough, "This song is pretty messy and everywhere nn"

Kneehigh Girl makes a good point, "I initially thought this song was super lazy, seeing as the verses are the same, lyrics-wise. That said, this is easily one of the most memorable tracks on the album. The beat is playful, the lyrics are simple and easy to remember and it’s super-catchy." Evilsin is willing to forgive, "This is such a Namie track if you think about it. Finally she acknowledges what a legend she is. The pre-chorus is such a fucking moment, I love it to bits with it's rising rhythm. I'll even forgive the outdated "swag" and "swagger". Kumi teas." And Cutlery thinks it's below standard, "I don’t know why, but compared to songs like Photogenic and Birthday, this “diva” track leaves me a little cold. It’s a bit her delivery, a bit the repetition..."

Supernatural Love: 8.13

Supernatural Love was one of Namie's songs fully sung in English on her 11th album FEEL, released July 10th, 2015. It was written by Rike Boomgaarden, who has previously written for Jolin Tsai & BoA. Steven Lee wrote & produced the song and has previously worked with Shinee, TVXQ, Oh My Girl and on Neonlight Lipstick.

Otenkiame picks up on the influence, "Namie goes k-pop again, and I'm not against it even though she doesn't sound like herself at all. Sure, it's a little less inspired than "make it happen", but it's still a bop, and that's what I'm here for. The chorus is a bit erratic with all the effects on her voice, but god are those pre-chorus "hush hush hush" parts so freaking hot." Vague fires shots, "this is giving me 2ne1-with-an-actual-melody teas" As does Miyawakiwi, "K-pop wishes!" Kneehigh Girl is shook, "Just when I started to relax, this song hits me like a truck on the highway. The song is very aggressive and “in your face” without being too much."

Cutlery is almost convinced, "The vocal processing is a little overdone, I feel that it takes away from the song in an attempt to make it a bolder bop. Namie’s delivery doesn’t entirely convince me but that scream… let me hand out half a point more." Lovlands seems to agree, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-YEAEAEAEAEAEAH!!!" Evilsin did my write up for me, "Whew, when hitting the higher notes makes your voice sound 20 years younger. Tereka teka, supernatual bop. Steven Lee is a great producer, but look at his co-producer, Rike Boomgaarden. First of all, love her name, but secondly, and most importantly, she produced Jolin Tsai's "Fantasy". Queens. All three. I remember reading that it was one of Steven's dream to work with Namie and when he got to do it, he was astonished at how amazing and professional she was by coming back to him with like 100 takes on this song, which he then enjoyed mixing."

Tempest: 8.16

Tempest was released as a triple A-side single from Namie's tenth album, Uncontrolled, on July 27, 2011 just 1 day shy of a full year from Break It/Get Myself Back. It was written & produced by Nao'ymt, who had worked on most of Namie's projects post 2005. The song was used as the theme song for NHK BS drama Tempest, based on the 2008 novel, The Tempest by Eiichi Ikegami. The triple A-side NAKED/Fight Together/Tempest debut at #2 on the Oricon Weekly Charts selling 60,254 copies that week. It was the 74th best selling single of 2012. Tempest peaked at #76 on the RIAJ Digital Track Charts individually.

Lovlands can't deny their love, "I used to be completely obsessed with this and I really considered it to be the best song off Uncontrolled. This song has kinda worn off on me but I still find it to be so gorgeous and the chorus never fails to bring tears to my eyes." Kneehigh Girl isn't a fan, "The chorus is powerful, but that’s not enough to carry the rest of the song. Very forgettable." Send photo is on the opposite end, "DDDDDDDDD IM DONE EXPLAINING MYSELF THIS IM SUCH A BALLAD BOTTOM I STAN AYU @ ME ALL YOU FUCKING WANT."

Otenkiame has no complaints, "An underrated track if you ask me (thankfully not by Namie, though). This track is so simplistically beautifully. Her soft vocals against the soft instrumentation is just gorgeous, and then it builds up into an even more gorgeous section with more orchestration. And the bridge too. Just wow." Cutlery agrees, "Very nostalgic, very Disney-esque. It’s now that I realize how underrated of a ballad it is, or maybe I’m just a sucker for orchestras."

Evilsin is stunned, "I think I was very lukewarm to this at first, because it felt like Namie was somehow constrained or perhaps simply strained vocally? I don't know what I was thinking, because it's actually the opposite. The track is so vast, grand and spacious that Namie has all the space in the world to fill in with her godly voice. Retrospectively this gives me some "ALL FOR YOU" teas a bitsy, and I'm shocked that this was produced by Nao'ymt as this kind of ballads is practically non-existant in terms of his catalog. The message of going forward and believing that tomorrow will be a better day is also quite striking here." Pinky25 also agrees, "It’s beautiful."

I'm glad Tempest made it this far. I was always under the impression that people hated it. Or maybe it was the video.

Anyway, it's a beautiful ballad and I wish it was on Ballada (instead of that dreadful Let Me Let You Go). It almost made it...

I think some of you might be a bit pleased with this one...

Damage: 8.18

(@lalaclairi_, @vague, @Cutlery, @MarkB, @_hazzie_), 9.5 (@eliminathan)
5 (@Jawshxx), 6 (@Mikl C, @Ana Raquel)

Damage was released as Namie's first digital single on October 31, 2012. It was later included on Namie's compilation album Finally in 2017. The song was written & produced by Nao'ymt and features a new rock-pop concept that neither had really tried together. The song was made for the film Fly with the Gold as the director Kazuyuki Izutsu, who personally requested Namie make the theme. He believed a female vocal would work with the hard boiled male centric story, but was admittedly worried about what sound Namie would come up with. Kazuyuki was impressed when he heard Damage as it wasn't anything like what Namie had previously recorded. The song charted at #1 on the RecoChoku digital & ringtone charts on release and is certified Gold for sales of 100,000.

Send photo wishes for ROCKA, "She should’ve done a rock album teebs." As does lovlands, "I wish Namie did more rock songs but at least we got this." Lalaclairi_ could do with some more rock, "Namie rock moments don't happen that often but when they do, I love them." Otenkiame doesn't really hear it, "Nao'ymt's take on a rock track. Honestly, it's weak as a rock track, but I like it nonetheless. The opening bit with her saying "And the god who became a human being" is such a kii moment, and the bridge is so deliciously dark and dramatic. I'm also always singing the hooks to myself on the daily." _hazzie_ stans, "fake rock chick yeahhhhh"

Vague made a new discovery, "i'd somehow never bothered listening to this, but W A O W. it's killer, especially the Finally ver." Cutlery is bopping, "Amazing and quite anime opening-esque. Even when her vocals are monotonously drowned in effects for the beginning of the verses, this alone gives the defiant lyrics more of an edge. When the breakdown comes in the chorus, I’m bopping up and down to the delicious flavor of pop rock that she served." Kneehigh Girl can't relate, "Promising opening and memorable chorus. The instrumental parts are fairly good too – at the very least, they’re different. Not too fond of the song as a whole though. It’s not bad, it’s just not my genre." Miyawakiwi has a different choice, "It's good but i'm glad Mint turned out better than this one." Evilsin rubs salt in my wounds, ""I CAN'T HEAL THIS DAME-JI!" This is such an oddity. I always forget about this due to its status of an albumless digital single, but at the same time I'm astonished by Namie's fervor to perform this at any occasion and even plomp it onto "Finally" instead of "BRIGHTER DAY", for instance. Guess we know she herself loves this to bits. As a Nao'ymt track this is pretty interesting and pretty great."
