Any hopes/thoughts for 2023?

She’s said she wants to follow up quicker than usual (thank god) with another album after Firebird, but I imagine that might be unlikely to be out in 2023 (she’s not mentioned being in the studio).

I’m hoping the Phil Thornalley Mel C duet gets released at least in 2023.

That KAT remix of Build It Better is amazing. I'd love an album going down that route more. It reminds me a little of the Junkie XL remix of Beauty on the Fire which is a highlight of her discography. Speaking of which, is there a single edit of that remix? The version I have is almost 11 mins long.

Still waiting for an EP of all the other songs she did as Panda honestly. She brought something so uniquely Natalie to Story of my Life that I need the others. I heard the 1D original the other day and it felt to odd as I am so used to Nat's version.

Yeah, it's not an album I need on vinyl but I agree, that version of 'I Will Follow You Into the Dark' is lovely.

Same, it’s the only song I go back to on that album, Instant Crush too actually.
There’s 3 other albums we need pressing on vinyl, hopefully we’ll get them one day.

Yes, that’s my second favourite. Even though it’s a cover it’s very Natalie, lyrically and musically.

I never really got into Male, but think it’s also been tarnished by the recent interviews she’s done in the last couple of years where it suggested it was very much a record company idea rather than something she wanted.

But I respect it for I Will Follow…, The Summer & Instant Crush.

I’m a big fan of Death Cab for Cutie, so imaging Natalie listening to their Plans album and wanting to cover them makes me happy. Justice for a very underrated band.

I agree, I read an interview with her in December that said she hoped to start writing in the new year. If she follows her normal process, there is no chance if she is yet to start writing that she’ll release it within a year. I’m thinking 2024 at the earliest (I hope I’m wrong).

However I’m hoping she has some one off tracks up her sleeve for this year: maybe the Mel c duet + she mentioned there were around 5 tracks off Firebird that just didn’t fit but she really liked?
