Neighbours - unmissable drama

Is there any chance it’ll get saved along the lines of the first time in 1986?

It's been completely irrelevant in Australia for over a decade, it needs a British broadcaster but so far none have taken it on.
In Australia, Neighbours got around 300k viewers per episode compared to Home and Away's 1 million. It's the other way around in the UK. The sets are due to demolished after July 31st, so most likely this is definitely the end.

Loving these stats from the front of one of the last scripts.

Neighbours:
- 8903 episodes
- 180,000(ish) scenes
- 100+ Hostage/Kidnap Situations
- 35 natural disasters
- 115 Car crashes/vehicle related incidents
- 64 Deaths
- 39 Weddings
- 17 Births
- 487 Mullets (cast & crew)
- 10-15 Risen from the dead scenarios
- 481 million pairs of eyes watching

I can only really think of Harold & Dee coming back from the dead.
Are they including ghost Todd, ghost Drew, Ghost Madge etc…?

The Natalie/Holly scenes were everything. Susan is THE legend. The send off was everything I could’ve asked for in the show. I don’t think I’ve been so emotionally attached to a show like Neighbours. It’s been an emotional ride and I’m so grateful I’ve been watching the show over the years and been able to watch the finale.

I lost it at Susan saying 'the perfect blend'.

Such a beautiful farewell, and the circumstances behind its axing meant it was still able to go out on a high, with prime time specials either side of the world. Very few shows get to bow out this way, they usually fizzle out. It's so appropriate that Neighbours gets to bow out to such love.
