Netflix recommendations

It’s almost April and feels like there has hardly been anything good come on Netflix this year? It definitely seems like a drop in content compared to previous years. Such a shame they cancelled so many series.

I was just talking about potentially cancelling Netflix and getting it again when something decent comes out, it has been dry as of late.

Mate I am struggling with Netflix lately. I dunno if the dip in content can still be attributed to covid delays or it's just that there are more streaming services around now that Netflix's content pales in comparison. It also isn't helping them that they continue to cancel so many strong shows in favour of crap like Too Hot to Handle.

Agreed! I guess those shows are maybe cheaper to make. Yeah they are a pile of crap though, I say that as a reality fan aswell.

I read an article saying there are numbered codes for certain genres you can enter in the search tab on your tv for more titles, I haven’t really tried it yet but it just shows how bad it’s getting that you would actually need to do something like that to find something to watch.

Has anyone tried this yet and does it actually show more stuff to watch?

I recently got a basic smart tv, so the only thing I've done is subscribe to a vpn service and access content from other countries. It worked for a while but recently I've been receiving the dreaded 'you seem to be using a vpn or proxy' message :/

New Love Is Blind will keep me paying for Netflix, I don't even watch that many reality shows, but it has me in a chokehold.

There's probably some stuff in hidden categories you could find online, or use a VPN to access more.

There really hasn't. There were so many good shows in the last couple of months of last year. Since January, "You" has been the only really high-profile show added. I can't really see anything coming in the next few months that looks that good either.

The Diplomat looks great.

I really liked Wellmania. Netflix needs more Australian shows.
I need to reiterate that y'all need to watch Wellmania. Initially, it struck me as just a parody of influencer wellness culture, but then the series unravels to reveal an affecting family drama with a flawed protagonist at the centre with the right amount of comedy throughout to prevent the series from getting too heavy.

I’m going to give BEEF a go based on everyoneMs glowing praise.

I watched Murder Mystery 2 last night, it was harmless fluff and Jennifer and Adam have such good on screen chemistry together.

I also managed to finally watch the PornHub doc - it was good and I appreciated that they honed in on how these porn bans impact the workers and not the big bosses/execs.
