  1. I've been meaning to post about these for a couple of days now (searched for a topic but I didn't see one) however an e-mail I got from !K7 has prompted me.

Cut and pasted from the e-mail -

So they're Canadian, husband and wife and make electronic pop... if you like Dragonette check them out (they don't actually sound like them).

    Full album stream -

    Youtube page -

Album is only £6.99 on Amazon -

    Janet is them too, right?
    The album sounds AMAZING.

    Getting it as we speak!
    Thanks for the tip.

I have only heard Ballad, which is pretty great. It could do with and edit, though. I was hoping to hear more from them.

  4. Got this today, reminds me a little of Roisin Murphy (hardly a shock) - very very cool electro pop for grown ups!
  5. 'The Ballad' is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
  6. I think Vas recommended this to me and I bought it - he's not wrong, it's wonderful.

I did! I've been listening to this non-stop!
  8. I'm happy others like this on here! I haven't listened to the album much yet it to be honest but I've enjoyed it when I have.
  9. The Ballad sounds vaguely like Kate Bush's This Woman's Work. Which, obviously, is a very good thing.

Haven't they done a Janet Jackson cover version? Or did I just dream that that happened?

    as posted earlier.
  11. Oh, that's the actual title? I mistakenly thought it was He Doesn't Even Know I'm Alive...

It's a cover of that song, but they are calling it Janet!
  13. They remind me of Mandalay and some other act I can't quite put my finger on yet, maybe Metro Area??

I'm loving this so far. I'm sure I will love it even more with time.

New Look, Lights, Friends, Sneaky Sound System, so many good albums in the same vein!
  16. I've just discovered these? It's a great album isn't it? Icy synth stuff just in time for winter.
  17. What happened to them? Such a memorable album, ticks all my boxes anyway. It's funny seeing my old name in the old threads, floating out there in the interweb!

  18. According to their Twitter they went on indefinite hiatus. A shame really. They're not usually my kind of thing at all but I really liked this album. Autumn 2011 was rammed full of interesting small electronic albums.
  19. This album still sounds Suits the abnormally sunny weather very well. The fact that there has been no follow-up kind of adds to the mystique. Pop definitely needs more mystique and otherworldliness.

  20. Agreed. I've rediscovered them when I've been digging through my archive during lockdown and I probably enjoy the album more now than when it was released. I wonder what they're up to now.
