    Aegyo- Cuteness
    Aigoo- Expression similar to a sigh or saying 'aw man' or 'geez'
    Ajuma- Middle aged woman
    Ajusshi- Middle aged man
    All-Kill - When an act gets to number 1 on the real time charts of all popular Korean download sites at once.
    (Perfect) All-Kill - When an act achieves the above, which stays at number 1 not only on the real time charts but also the daily and weekly charts of all the popular Korean download sites.
    Ani- No
    Annyong - Informal hello or goodbye
    Annyonghaseyo- Hello
    Bagel Girl - refers to a girl with baby face and glamorous body
    The big three- SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entrainment. These three companies dominate the Korean music industry currently.
    CF- Commercial film (advert/ commercial)
    Chocolate Abs- Used to describe well defined, muscular abs or a six pack.
    Comeback- The return of a singer/group with a new single or album. Ex. SNSD had 2 comebacks in 2009.
    Comeback Performance- The first performance of a new song on that particular music program
    Concept-Usually referring to the image portrayed by the group. The concept can include clothing, hairstyle, make-up, set design, song genre and even facial expressions. Ex. "I like T-ARA's sexy concept"
    Daebak- Big win or great success
    Dongsaeng- What someone calls a younger person
    Egg Line- Used to describe a jaw and chin which is oval shaped like an egg. (Considered attractive.)
    Fan Service- When an idol performs an act purely for the pleasure of their fans. This often includes skinship, nudity, and general communication with the fans.
    FM - Fan Meeting. You often have to pay at many of these fan meetings.
    Friend- In Korean, the word friend is reserved for people of the same age. If you are not the same age, you are not friends; there is a different term for the relationship.
    Gayo Dajeun - End of the year ceremony
    Goodbye Stage - final performance of promoted song
    Hallyu- also known as the "Hallyu wave". It's basically a term for the influx of interest in Korean culture worldwide.
    Hoobae- Junior
    Hwaiting/ Fighting- Expression of good luck.
    Hyung- What a guy calls an older guy
    Idols- Media personalities in their teens and early twenties who are considered usually particularly good-looking. E.g. singers in K-pop groups
    Jjang- Exceptional/the best
    Kekeke- Laughing
    Kkab - Hyperactive. Normally involves dancing in a dorky, crazy and funny way. Jo Kwon is kkab queen.
    Korean Age- In Korea a baby is considered to be one year old at birth. So a 22 year old from Britain would be considered 23 in Korea.
    Leader- In K-Pop groups, one person is usually chosen as leader. Usually the oldest but not in all cases. Ex. Taeyeon of SNSD and CL of 2NE1
    Maknae- Youngest in the group. Ex. Seohyun of SNSD
    MR removed - music recording removed. Audio edited by the fans to actually hear how much the idols sing.
    Ne - Yes
    Netizen- Internet user, 'citizen' of the internet
    Noona- What a guy calls an older girl
    Omona- Oh my gosh! Also abbreviated as 'omo'
    Oppa- What a girl calls an older guy
    OTL - Emoticon displaying the image of a man kneeling down with both hands to the ground - not an abbreviation.
    OTP - One True Pairing. Used to mark a fictional couple. OT3, OT11, etc - Sometimes used to describe pop groups.
    Ssanti- Slang for 'cheap', often refers to something funny
    Saranghaeyo- I love you
    Selca- Self camera. A photo taken by a person of themselves
    Skinship- Bonding through physical contact
    S Line- A female's body which resembles an 'S' in that she has a well defined bust, waist and butt. (Considered attractive)
    Sunbae- Senior
    Ulzzang- Best face. A good-looking person
    Unique Charms- A term used by many netizens and articles involving Korean Pop. It's basically special or interesting qualities. They usually are showcased. Ex. 4minute showcased their unique charms on Inkigayo.
    Unni- What a girl calls an older girl
    Visual Maknae-The youngest looking in the group but is not actually the youngest. Ex. Yoseob of Beast
    V Line- Used to describe a well defined, sloping jaw and a pointed chin. (Considered attractive)
    4D - refers to a member with quirky, weird personality

  13. *Hangs head down in shame* I didn't really write it, haha. I looked up "K-Pop Definitions" and I'm sad to say the work really belongs to those crazy kids over at the allkpop forums. But I did some editing an added a definition or two, haha. If anyone has anything to add or better definitions I can edit the post!
  14. Friend - I was so confused at first when idols where just like "Hey we're friends!" "You're her friend!" and everyone was amazed. Until I found out it just means they're the same age haha.
