So Nicki has told MTV that recording will start, in LA, at the end of the month when the tour raps up, that she will not be looking to have any features present on the record and that it will be "her best work". There is currently no release date set.

Do we expect the album will capitalise on the success of 'Super Bass' pop sound or develop the edgier sound of fan favorites like 'Roman's Revenge' (as the article does say that she's hinted Roman will be present)?

I expect it'll be released next Spring/Summer. I hope she has two or three collabos, insted of nearly half the album like Pink Friday.

Bit early for a thread though surely?!

Sure I'm sure it will be released before Christina's and she has a thread. Very excited to see what she does with this. Think she is on fire recently.

Still a while to go bit I am very excited. She should be more immediate with her success with this album as Pink Friday has been a bit of a slow burner.

I wouldn't mind a collaboration or two, just so long as they're not with rappers... Her best collaboration on 'Pink Friday' (for me anyway) was 'Last Chance'. I loved her poppier songs...

Fuck the music for a moment, this chick needs better management. Hopefully the next era is a lot less messy (i.e. not 80 singles and not all the good songs regulated to the bonus tracks).

Hopefully she's learned from the success of Super Bass and won't make another tracklist disaster. Also I love songs like Save Me and Catch Me so more of them please.

There was that interview where she admitted the structuring of the album was off (i.e. putting the best songs as exclusive bonuses), which she tried to overcome by releasing Super Bass.

I think she's well aware that Roman really should be a lessor alter ego and poppy Barbie is the one people want out of her.

But we need to see the video of Roman and Slim Shady at boarding school! But from a commercial standpoint the 'Super Bass/Right Thru Me' will probably be the sole focus, singles wise, for the next campaign.

There is so much room for improvement, I don't think she'll be able to fill my super high expectations. I didn't really like Pink Friday, but I can't wait to hear what she comes up with for her second album. I love Nicki.

Lil Wayne will be on there, obviously. Drake will probably be on there too. I'd like to see Trina, Katy Perry and someone like Ashley Tisdale collaborating. I can also see a Trey Songz / Rick Ross / Fabulous / R Kelly / Nelly / Timbaland three-way.

I think she can tackle heavy topics (Here I Am, Save Me, Catch Me...) but obviously being poppy wouldn't kill off chances of her being Roman at all.

Didn't Nicki say she wasn't going to have any features?

I think she really grew into 'Pink Friday' as both an album and an era, as did her fans. Whilst I was somewhat disappointed that it didn't go as hard for the most part as her mixtapes and some of her features, I really became a fan of both the imagery and music from the era. And of course, realizing that the way forward was new and bonus tracks can't go amiss.

I expect great things from Minaj, but at the same time I expect something that I don't expect from her
