The review itself was a bit scattered and weird, too, and I don't really agree with how they frame the album, but oh well.
It’s a weirdly superficial review for such a deep and introspective album. She certainly sounds confident in the sense that she’s an artist at the height of her powers showing off a finely honed talent but the lyrics are certainly not giving coolness and confidence! The retrospective criticism of PAINLESS, albeit mild, is strange too since they really feel like two sides of the same coin - whereas in the former her anxieties are directed at the complicated relationships and strained environments she finds herself in, the latter sees her direct her gaze further inwards. Whatever, I’ll take the Best New Music and run.The review itself was a bit scattered and weird, too, and I don't really agree with how they frame the album, but oh well.
Did you go? One of the opening acts Eliza McLamb does a fun cover of Lucky by Britney.I’m obsessed with “Mutations”, and she has a show in Cleveland Heights this Sunday… do I go?
